What kind of product is the iroha mai?
The iroha mai is the first of its kind in the iroha series to use HapticWave® technology.
It converts low-frequency (40-70 Hz) sound waves into vibrations with haptic technology. -
What differences are there between the iroha mai and other iroha brand items?
The iroha mai has a different motor than the other iroha products, and is equipped with a completely new vibration mechanism using HapticWave®Technology*.
This allows the vibrations to provide a deeper, more three-dimensional experience.
It also has 10 varied and enticing sound-based rhythm patterns so you can discover pleasure that resonates with you.
*Used in smartphones, game controllers, etc., for tactile feedback through vibration. -
Are there any functional differences between the colors?
The colors are purely for aesthetic difference, so please choose the color you like the most!

Is the material soft?
The body is covered with soft silicone that feels smooth to the touch, but is not as marshmallow-soft as products using our Soft-Touch silicone.
It also does not have a flexible structure like the iroha mikazuki & minamo. -
How do I turn the product on?
Push & Hold the Flower Button for 3 seconds to turn ON/OFF.
Press the Flowe Button once to switch between 10 vibration patterns.
There are 10 sound-wave patterns available.
Press The … Button once to switch between 3 vibration strengths.
All sound wave patterns can be adjusted to three levels of intensity. -
How many vibration modes does it have?
The iroha mai has 10 varied and enticing sound-based rhythm patterns and 3 levels of intensity for each.
There is a total combination of 30 varieties of rhythm patterns and intensities to enjoy. -
I hear a sound from the iroha mai, is it a malfunction?
No, this is not a malfunction.
The iroha mai converts sound waves into vibrations. You may hear a faint melody when it is placed close to the ear.
※The iroha mai is quieter than other iroha products. -
Do I need to buy batteries for the product?
This is a rechargeable item and does not require additional batteries for use.
To charge, place Product onto Charging Base making sure the Magnetic Terminal of the Product is connected to the metal part of the Charging Base.
Attach the included USB Cable to the Magnetic Terminal on the Charging Base (making sure that the Flower symbol on the USB cable is facing up) and connect the USB terminal to a USB port connected to a PC or wall-plug adapter.
Running Time: Approx. 60 min (Full Power)
Charging Time: Approx. 90 min (5V1A Li-ion Polymer Battery)
※ The charging lamp will blink when the product is being charged properly. -
Can I use the product in the bath?
The product is fully waterproof up to 50cm (Approx. 20 inches).
Please do not expose to strong water currents or depths over 50cm.
※The exposed metal Magnetic Terminal on the Product Body will not cause an electric shock even if it is placed underwater.
※The included USB Cable is not waterproof.
※Use in water can expose your body to the water you are using it in. Please ensure that you are using the item in a hygienic environment. -
Is it hygienic and safe to use?
The product is made of body-safe silicone that is non-toxic to the human body.
The product is fully washable and can be cleaned before and after use to keep it hygienically safe. -
Can I wash it with soap?
Please wash with cold or tepid water. If using soap, please use only a mild, neutral soap.
※ Do not clean with hot water. Do not place in hot or cold water for extended periods of time.
※ Do not clean with alcohol or highly acidic/alkaline cleaners. This may cause disfiguration of product. -
Can I use the product with lubricants, lotions or oils?
Use only water-based lubricants with this product.
※ Do not use with silicone-based lubricants, massage oils or other oils such as baby oils. This could lead to product damage, discoloration or deformation of product, and will void product warranty.
Use of oil-based products with this item may cause malfunction, discoloration or deformation. -
I just bought the product, but I think it might be broken.
Please look over the Troubleshooting tips in the User Manual.
If this does not resolve the issue, please contact us (The product is covered by a 1 Year Warranty). -
How do I use the Charging Base as a Stand?
The Charging Base, which also serves as a Stand, is intended to ensure the hygienic use of the Vibrating Unit side of the Product.
Place the Product on the Charging Base to prepare before use, or temporarily place it here after use.
※ Please be sure to turn off the power supply when placing the product on the stand.
※ Please do not use the Product while it is placed on the stand. -
How do I clean the Charging Base?
Always remove USB Cable from Charging Base before cleaning.
Clean Charging Base with a wrung-out, damp cloth.
※ The Charging Base is not waterproof. Take care to keep it from becoming wet.
※ To avoid electric shocks, electrical damage or fire hazards, please do NOT submerge Charging Base in water. -
Can I use the charging bases / cases / cables and wall plug adapters from other iroha brand items?
Only the Wall Plug Adapters from other iroha items are compatible with this product.
The charging cable can be used to charge the product directly, without the use of the charging base.
The charging cable is only compatible with the iroha mai, the iroha RIN+, and the iroha ukidama. -
Can I use other USB Cables available on the market?
The USB Cable is a Magnetic USB Cable that was made solely for this product, and is not available elsewhere.
As such, please do not buy USB Cables from other vendors for use with this product.
Please contact us should you lose your iroha USB Cable.
※ If there are any issues with the USB cable included with your product, it may be covered by our 1 Year Warranty, so please contact us. -
There is no Wall Plug Adapter included. What should I do?
The product doesn’t include a Wall Plug Adapter. Please use a wall plug adapter you have available, or purchase one for use with the product.
The product can also be charged with a PC USB Port.
※ Please ensure the USB Port / Wall Plug Adapter you are using has an output of at least 5V1A to ensure no damage to either item. -
Is there a Product Warranty?
This product is covered by a One Year Warranty from the date of purchase.
Please contact us if you have any problems within the warranty period. -
How should I dispose of this product?
Please dispose of the item according to your local disposal laws and regulations.
